The Society for International Development, in collaboration with Namibia Youth Energy Forum, organized on July 5, 2024 the event Youth Dialogue on Sustainable Energy Futures for Namibia.
This event provided a platform for young Namibians to reflect on the current energy landscape and strategize their involvement in shaping Namibia's energy future. As energy is crucial for sustainable development, this dialogue explored its future impacts, benefits, and assumptions for Namibia. The youth, as key stakeholders, are poised to play a vital role in crafting a just and inclusive sustainable energy future over the next decade.
Key topics included energy reliance, climate change, foreign investment, legal regulations, and infrastructure development.
The event concluded with a commitment to ongoing discussions and collaborative solution.
