SID Membership

SID has a large and vibrant global network of individual and institutional members, local chapters and partner organizations in more than 50 countries. We work with more than 100 associations, networks and institutions involving academia, parliamentarians, students, political leaders and development experts, both at local and international level.

Why join SID?

Joining the SID network means supporting one of the earliest international organization of its kind, historically one of the most lively global community of people and institutions working in development. Also, it means contributing to the vision, mission and values inspiring SID since its foundation in 1957:  Acting as a global space for honest dialogue and interconnectedness among diverse actors at community, national, and international level to promote development and social change with a holistic, mulitdisciplinary and multisectorial approach.

Joining a SID chapter

It is possible to join the SID network by becoming member of a SID local chapter or by joining the international secretariat. We invite you to visit the SID network page to find the SID chapter closest to you! Visit their websites or get in contact with them via phone or e-mail to find out more about how you can participate and contribute to their activities.
